Two men were arrested and charged with murdering a 23-year-old Aberdeen man. Aberdeen police arrested Shakeil Kerdim Cooper and Calyndell Omari Miller for the shooting death of Lashun “Sean” Brower.
Brower was fatally shot at his home in the 100 block of Meredith Drive off of Keyser Street around 10:00 p.m. on December 10th.
Cooper, 20, from Timberlane Drive in Fayetteville, was arrested in the afternoon on December 22nd and charged with murder, second-degree kidnapping, discharging a weapon into an occupied dwelling, and robbery with a dangerous weapon.
Miller, 19, from Burke Road in Raeford, was arrested the morning of December 27th and charged with murder, second-degree kidnapping, and robbery with a dangerous weapon.
Both suspects are being held at Moore County Detention Center with no bond and have a January 9th court date, according to arrest records.
Brower had attended Union Pines High School and went on to play basketball for two years at Wentworth Military Academy. While at Wentworth, Brower was named USCAA “National Player of the Week” and NJCAA Region 16 “Player of the Year”.
All defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
