Two local women were arrested and charged with larceny of bank checks according to a news release from Moore County Sheriff’s Office.

Brenda Lacey Jackson, 38, from the 100 block of River Runs Road in Hoffman, was arrested and charged last Friday with one count of Felony Uttering of a Forged Instrument, one count of Felony Conspiracy, one count of Felony Obtaining Property by False Pretense, one count of Felony Conspiracy to Obtain Property by False Pretense, one count of Misdemeanor Larceny and one count of Misdemeanor Possession of Stolen Goods.

Jackson was taken to the Moore County Detention Center and was released on a $2,500 unsecured bond.

Amie Elizabeth Cagle, 32, from the 200 block of Voncannon Drive in West End, was arrested and charged Monday with one count of Felony Uttering of a Forged Instrument, one count of Felony Conspiracy, one count of Felony Obtaining Property by False Pretense and one count of Felony Conspiracy to Obtain Property by False Pretense.

Cagle was taken to the Moore County Detention Center and was released on a $2,500 unsecured bond.

Both women are due in court on December 12th, according to arrest records.
