A three car accident causes two power poles to come crashing down causing the occupants to be trapped inside their vehicles.
The Carthage accident happened shortly after 2:30 Sunday afternoon in front of the the Speedway Gas Station on U.S. Hwy 15-501.
Carthage Fire & Rescue, Carthage Police Department, Moore County EMS, and Moore County Sheriff’s Department came to the aid of the victims with one victim being transported to FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital with injuries.
The vehicles’ occupants were trapped inside their vehicles for safety reasons until Duke Energy was able to respond to the scene to terminate the power to the downed lines that entangled the cars.
