Anytime Fitness has announced their 3rd Annual Lifting Competition, Benefit Fundraiser for the Moore County Law Enforcement Officers (LEO) Association on Saturday, September 21. This also falls on the National Thank a Police Officer Day. They are involving the entire Moore County Police Force and will see participation in the events from multiple departments. The event will take place at Anytime Fitness facility located in the PineCroft Plaza, Taylortown.
“The goal of this event is to raise money and awareness for the Moore County L.E.O., all in a supportive and yet competitive environment,” said Hannah Ambrozewski co-owner of the Anytime Fitness clubs here in the Pines and host of the event. “Even though we’re competing against each other in the Lift Off, we couldn’t be more supportive of all competitors in these challenging events. The importance of giving back is vital, and it is rewarding to make a difference for our local officers faced with difficult times.”
This year, they’ve added a ‘Run with a Cop 5K’ to be the first event to kick off this year’s Lift Off competition. The 5K is a free event for all to participate and will begin at 9 a.m. They are encouraging everyone from the community to join in as a way to show support to our local officers and get in a great workout. As an added incentive, to those who participate in the 5K run will receive a free Anytime Fitness 7-Day Pass/Bracelet and Anytime Fitness towel. All are welcome to watch this years competition consisting of four events: Bench Press, Dead-lift, Squat, and 5K run.
The Anytime Fitness clubs in the Pines are service-disabled veteran-owned and operated facilities.
