An Aberdeen man was arrested when law enforcement pulled his vehicle over and searched his car.

Jordan Stephon Stephens, 20, was traveling in Aberdeen when he was pulled over by Moore County Deputies on Friday.  During a search of the vehicle, deputies seized 23 Grams of Marijuana, over $2,297 in cash, and a firearm with an altered serial number, according to a news release from the Moore County Sheriff’s Office.

Stephens was charged with possession of a gun with an altered serial number, carrying a concealed weapon, possession with intent to sell and distribute marijuana, possession of marijuana, the possession of marijuana paraphernalia and resisting a public officer.

Stephens was placed in the Moore County Detention Center after his arrest under a $7,500 secured bond.  According to arrest records, Stephens is due in court on May 22nd.

All defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
