The Pinebluff Police Department and other emergency crews responded to a pedestrian being struck by a car in Pinebluff on Monday evening around 9:30.

The female pedestrian was crossing U.S. Hwy 1 at the intersection with Baltimore Avenue when she was struck by a car in front of Nic’s Pic Kwik.

The victim, in her 20’s, was still lying in her roadway when emergency crews arrived. 

A helicopter was placed on standby, and once she was evaluated by paramedics, she was transported to  a landing zone for the helicopter. She was then airlifted to a local trauma center for more definitive care.

Pinebluff Police Department is investigating the accident.

This was the fourth pedestrian stuck in less than four weeks in Moore County. There was one fatality this past weekend on Vass-Carthage Road.

Responding to the scene were Pinebluff Fire & Rescue, Aberdeen Fire & Rescue, Moore County EMS, Pinebluff Police Department, Moore County Sheriff’s Dept,  and the NC Highway Patrol.
