A FirstHealth Community Health Services program has been named a finalist by the American Hospital Association’s (AHA) 36th Annual Hospital Awards for Volunteer Excellence (HAVE).

FirstHealth was one of four finalists nationwide recognized by the AHA.

FirstHealth Community Health Services volunteer Ken Bell (pictured, right) is responsible for the Moore County They Immunize Kids Early program, also known as MCTIKE.

Through the program, immunization information, as well as available health, education and human service resources, are mailed to homes of children in Moore County. These mailings include information on local resources such as dental health programs for infants, the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, and N.C. 211 cards.

Pictured with Bell is Chris Miller, administrative director of FirstHealth Community Health Services.
