Hospital named to national 100 Top Hospitals list

FirstHealth of the Carolinas will be hosting an Advance Care Planning clinic for the community on Saturday, April 27 from 9 to 11 a.m.

The free, hands-on clinic will be held in the Shadowlawn Room at the Clara McLean House, 20 FirstVillage Drive, Pinehurst.

Attendees will have the opportunity to:

Learn about health care powers of attorney and living wills.

Complete advance directives. Please bring a photo ID in order to have your advance directives notarized.

Talk about plans for end-of-life treatment.

“This event is intended to encourage people in our community to begin having the conversation about their health care wishes with their families and put them in writing,” says Robin Lynn, LCSW, FirstHealth Palliative Care. “It is critical for medical staff to have this information in advance to better provide care when a crisis happens.”
