No serious injuries were reported in a three-vehicle accident on Hwy 690 Friday evening. The accident occurred just outside Vass at the intersection with Johnson Grove Road.

The driver of a Ford F-150 side swiped a Nissan Truck and then struck an SUV head-on leaving all three vehicles with extensive damage and debris scattered throughout the area of impact.

Miraculously, everyone involved escaped serious injuries. Moore County EMS transported several victims to Firsthealth Moore Regional but none with life-threatening injuries.

The accident was initially reported by Crains Creek Fire Chief Kenneth Mackey who came upon the accident as it occurred.

N.C. Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the accident and charges are pending.

Responding to the scene were Cypress Pointe Fire & Rescue, Moore County EMS, Vass Police, and the Highway Patrol.
