How would you like to name the new Area 1 Elementary school? Well, here’s your chance.
Moore County Schools is inviting the public to participate in a “Name That School” campaign to help identify a permanent name for the new Area I Elementary School on Camp Easter Road.
Members of the public wishing to suggest a name should submit the name(s) with supporting rationale by 5 p.m. Friday, October 19, 2018.
From these suggestions, the Board of Education will approve a short list of names and open those options to public comment from November 6 through November 23. Based on public input, the Board of Education will take action on a final name for the school at its December 10 Regular Business Meeting.
