Lee appointed to Airport Business Advisory Committee

Jason Lee, president of Lee Electrical Construction, LLC, in Aberdeen, has been selected to serve as a member of the Moore County Airport Business Advisory Committee. The announcement was made by Pinehurst Resort Executive Eric Kuester, committee chairman.

Lee is originally from Pinehurst, and he graduated from Pinecrest High School. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and Master’s degree in Business at East Carolina University in Greenville. He joined the family-based Lee Electrical Construction in 2007. In August 2020, Lee Electrical Construction, Inc. was acquired by Quanta Services, Inc. and changed its name to Lee Electrical Construction, LLC. Quanta Services, Inc. is the leading provider of specialized contracting services, delivering infrastructure solutions to the electric power and natural gas and pipeline industries. Lee’s company provides a comprehensive range of services, including the design, installation, maintenance, and repair of virtually every type of infrastructure.

“We are pleased to add Jason to the Business Advisory Meeting for the Moore County Airport,” said Eric Kuester, vice president of sales, marketing and business development for Pinehurst Resort. “He has great familiarity with the airport as a base customer and is a ‘home grown’ business leader for our community. Jason will make a great addition to our committee of community stakeholders charged with providing fresh eyes on the Moore County Airport and focusing on the positive growth for the facility.”

The members of the Moore County Airport Authority, who operate the publicly-owned airport, established the community-based Business Advisory Committee to provide input and guidance for the strategic planning for the Moore County Airport.   The Business Advisory Committee consists of leaders with differing business backgrounds, professional experience, and education, representing the Pinehurst Resort; Moore County Economic Development Partnership; The Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Aberdeen Convention and Visitors Bureau; FirstHealth of the Carolinas; Pinehurst Surgical Clinic; Sandhills Community College; and the United States Golf Association.

The eight-member committee reports directly to Airport Director Ron Maness.

Mike Jones, chairman of the Moore County Airport Authority, stated: “The Business Advisory Committee has been a wonderful addition to the Moore County Airport. They are assisting the Authority members with the long-term strategic plan, so the airport can fulfill its mission to be an engine of economic growth and opportunity for the people of Moore County and the region. We are excited to welcome Jason Lee as the newest Business Advisory Committee member.”

Lee resides in Pinehurst with his wife, Meagan, and their two children. When not “powering up” Moore County, Lee loves playing golf and watching his girls play various sports.

Kuester added, “We will continue to provide collective input to the Airport Authority and the senior staff by navigating political issues, advancing new business ideas, developing fundraising and grant funding opportunities for the airport. The Moore County Airport is a valuable resource for our community.”
