UPDATE: Sadly, Rue has passed away.
A family is searching for its lost dog, Rue. He is about 1 and a half years old, weighs 25 pounds, is cream-colored, somewhat shaggy, and is microchipped.
Rue was last seen on Feb. 7 on N. May Street heading toward Valley View Road in Southern Pines.
He is very skittish. If you see him, please do not chase him or be loud. Get down on his level, and try to calmly lure him to you with food without scaring him away.

Owners are looking for volunteers to help search for him because they must return to New Hampshire.
A reward is being offered, but you will need pictures for proof.
