A West End man is behind bars accused of setting a home on fire, according to Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields.

Authorities were paged to a structure fire on October 18 in the Eagle Springs area. 

“The investigation into the cause of the fire led to the arrest of a single suspect for arson related charges,” said Sheriff Fields in a Wednesday news release.
 
Jerry Ronald Miller, 67, was arrested by detectives on Tuesday and charged with one count of first degree arson and one count of felony burning of certain buildings. 

The suspect’s bond was set at $200,000 has a Nov. 13 court date and is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
