A local man, who was out of jail on a $100,000 bond, was arrested again for drug and weapon charges on Saturday.

The police attempted to stop Waddell, aka Mooks Rasta, near East Indiana Avenue and Fort Bragg Road, but the suspect proceeded to drive through several residential streets before stopping on East Hedgelawn Way.

Waddell jumped out of the car without putting it in park, and fled on foot. The vehicle rolled into a utility box.

The police chased the suspect as he threw a large bag of marijuana and a firearm, said the news release.

When officers caught the suspect, they recovered 57 grams of marijuana, a loaded Glock .40 caliber semi-automatic pistol, $2,476, and digital scales.
