Over 4,200 Moore County residents are without power Thursday afternoon due to Tropical Storm Michael.
These affected residents are Duke Energy customers. Duke Energy is currently assessing damages, according to outage information on their website.
The primary outage is in Pinehurst with scattered outages in Southern Pines, Aberdeen, and Foxfire. Traffic lights are out in several areas in Southern Pines and Aberdeen. Traffic lights are reported out on U.S. Highway 1.
Officials are urging Moore County motorist to stay off roads if possible.
