A Moore County native was recently promoted to Master Sergeant in the U.S. Army.
Master Sgt. David Strohacker, II, 34, was pinned during his promotion ceremony on August 1, in El Paso, Texas, by his wife, Allison, and son, Laine.
He presently serves with the 32nd Army Air and Missile Defense Command and is stationed at Fort Bliss.
David and Allison were born and raised in Moore County and graduated Union Pines High School. David enlisted in 2005.
