The Festival of Trees originally began in 1997 with 32 trees to raise funds for Sandhills Children’s Center.  It was a huge success raising almost $50,000 surpassing their $20,000 goal.  Festival of Trees has grown to an annual display of 200 trees and raising over $200,000 each year for the children.

Since its inception, the proceeds have enabled Sandhills Children’s Center to continue to provide its vital community program to children birth through five years old, with Down Syndrome, cerebral palsy, autism, hearing impairments, vision impairments and other developmental delays.
