On June 22 at 7pm, the Sunrise Theater will welcome Rock N Roll Hall of fame inductee, Denny Laine, to its stage. Denny is a premier British songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and founding member of both The Moody Blues and Wings. The solo concert will feature his numerous hit songs as well as personal stories of his life in rock and roll.

Denny has earned two Grammy’s including Best Rock Instrumental Performance (Rockestra Theme) in 1979 and Best Pop Vocal Performance for Band on the Run in 1974. In April 2018, he was inducted into the Rock N Roll Hall of fame with The Moody Blues. Expectations are high that he will also be inducted into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame with Wings along with cofounder Paul McCartney. His partnership with Linda and Paul McCartney lasted for more than a decade and resulted in numerous iconic hits of the 70s and 80s.

The incomparable Wings album, Band on the Run, reached #1 in the Billboard® Hot 100 Charts three different times and eventually the album went triple platinum. In the UK, Band on the Run spent seven weeks at #1 on the UK’s Guinness® Charts of British Hits Singles and went on to be the top selling British album of 1974.

His current solo US tour provides Denny the opportunity to perform in intimate settings like the Sunrise and reconnect with Moody Blues and Wings fans and younger fans who have recently discovered his music. A PBS documentary will begin shooting his solo concert tour this September and will focus on his long and successful music career.

Denny Laine’s appearance at the Sunrise is made possible by sponsorship from The Sly Fox Gastropub.

VIP and reserved tickets are on sale now at the Sunrise Theater Box Office, at SunriseTheater.com or by calling the Sunrise office at 910-692-3611.
