Annie Cook Frye, age 74 of Carthage passed away on Friday, March 15, 2019 at her home.
Annie was born on May 27, 1944 in Surry Co., NC to the late Howard Taft Cook and Mallie Irona Taylor Cook. She retired from Frontier Textile Mill in Sanford in 2004. Annie loved her family and especially enjoyed spending Sunday afternoons watching Nascar and having dinner with them.
She is survived by two daughters: Robin Annette Frye of Carthage and Lisa Frye Volk and husband Gary R. Volk of Carthage, NC; one son, Jonathan Lynn Frye and wife Cathy of Carthage, NC; a sister, Judy Collins of Carthage, NC and a brother, Curtis Cook and wife Susan of Carthage, NC. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Robert Wayne Reynolds, her granddaughter, Taylor Frye and two sisters and three brothers.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 18, 2019 from 1-3 p.m. at Boles Funeral Home in Southern Pines. A graveside service will follow at Crosshill Cemetery in Carthage, NC.
