Arthur Lawrence Davis, 86, passed away on May 6, 2018 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
Born on February 18, 1932 in Boston, Massachusetts to the late Arthur L. Davis and Mary Nickerson Davis.
Arthur was the husband of Shirley Ann Davis. Arthur and Shirley shared 62 years of life together in a life filled with humor, kindness, tragedy, but most of all, love. He is also survived by two nieces Sandy Pratt and Trudy Sheehan. In addition to his parents, Arthur is predeceased by two sons Lawrence and Wayne Davis.
Arthur graduated from Jamaica Plain High school and following graduation joined the U.S. Air Force, served 4years and was honorably discharged in 1955. During his service with the Air Force, he was a member of the Air Force baseball team. Returning home, he attended Franklin Technical Institute and Worcester State College. Arthur was an exception athlete and enjoyed golf, tennis and hockey. He was involved for any years with Little league in both hockey and baseball. Arthur recently celebrated 50 years as a Mason at Siloam Lodge in Westboro, Mass. He was an active member of Newcomers, Act11, and past member of Golf Capital Chorus. He was a member of Pinehurst United Methodist Church in Pinehurst .
Arthur was a kind loving man who enjoyed life and his friends. A true friend and a loving husband.
A memorial service will be held at Pinehurst United Methodist Church, 4111 Airport Road, Pinehurst on Saturday, May 19th, 11:00 A.M.
