Fletcher Jones Everette, Jr., age 76, of Cameron, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at home, surrounded by his loving family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Cox Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Military Honors.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.

Fletcher was born in Sanford, North Carolina on July 8, 1942 to Fletcher Everette, Sr. and Mina Hall Everette. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.  He worked as a Corporate Pilot for years, which he enjoyed dearly but his most enjoyment was spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend and will be greatly missed. 

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Peggy Holt Everette; children, Andy Everette and Julie Everette Saelinger (Bill) both of Salisbury; sister, Joanne Dover of Sanford; brothers, Elbert D. Hall (Jackie), Robert W. Everette (Jean), Billy G. Everette all of Sanford; grandchildren, Ashley Waldrop, Briana Saelinger and Andrea Blue.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fletcher Everette, Sr. and Mina Hall Everette; brother, Edward T. Hall.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Amedisys Hospice, 56 Three Hunts Dr., Bldg #3, Pembroke, NC 28372 or a charity of one’s choice.
