Gloria De Genova De Deyn, 86, of Aberdeen, NC passed away Saturday April 21, 2018 at her residence.
She was born October 8, 1931 in Totowa, New Jersey to the late Jeanette and Charles De Genova. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Peter De Deyn, her daughter Carol Ann De Deyn Spina and her sister Gilda Sodano.
Gloria moved to Moore County in 1988 and was a faithful member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. In 1990 she began working at Belk as an associate and was later promoted to an office support position. Gloria loved to spend time gardening and caring for her flowers. She also enjoyed watching Fox News, cooking shows, and anything featuring Tom Selleck.
She is survived by her daughter Jeanne De Deyn and fiancée Joey McKee of Rockingham, NC; two sons Richard De Deyn Jr. and wife Kathy of Manning, SC and Robert De Deyn of Elmwood Park, NJ; six grandchildren Alex Spina, Jake Spina, Cade De Deyn, Madison De Deyn, Josh Evans, and Tyler Evans; two great-grandchildren Kennedy and Johnny; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 11 AM-12 PM on Tuesday April 24, 2018 at Boles Funeral Home in Pinehurst. A Catholic prayer service will follow the visitation at 12 PM in the Boles Funeral Home Chapel in Pinehurst.
