Lois Richardson Elliott, 89 of Southern Pines, passed away on November 3, 2018 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.
Born on March 23, 1929 in Rowan County, North Carolina to the late Addison and Elizabeth Richardson. Lois was a faithful member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She was a past Sunday school teacher, bible school teacher and piano player for the church. She was a very talented seamstress, cook and gardener, taking such pride and care in everything she did. Most of all she loved raising her children and helped in raising and shaping the lives of many other children.
She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Joe Elliott; two children, Diane Singer (Donald) and Larry Elliott (Sheri); grandchildren, Donna Anderson (Matt), Wayne Talbert (Teresa), Katrina Liby (Michael) and April Goley (Michael); also survived by five great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 from 2:00-3:00PM at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with services at 3:00PM. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Lois’ name may be made to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church 2237 Camp Easter Road Southern Pines, NC 28387.
