Mae “Nicki” Holcomb, age 84 of Aberdeen passed away on Friday, April 12, 2019 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.

Nicki was born on May 16, 1934 in Loudoun County, Virginia to the late Charles Heflin and Nellie May Atwell Heflin. Nicki worked for many years as a real estate broker in Moore County, NC. Those who knew Nicki, will remember for her hospitality, love and care that she gave to anyone who entered her home.  You weren’t leaving her home without a home cooked meal or a glass of her famous sweet tea. Nicki had a loving and kind spirit and she touched the lives of many through the years. She enjoyed gardening and her cats.

Nicki is survived by her loving daughter, Vickie Jo Holcomb Pollard and her husband Jim of New Hill, NC; a granddaughter, Rebecca Boston Polley and husband Greg of Carthage, NC; three great-grandchildren: Zoe, Caroline and Rachael Polley all of Carthage, NC. She is also survived by her brother, Thomas “Tommy” Heflin of Lovettsville, VA and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Joseph “Buddy Joe” E. Holcomb; her granddaughter, Victoria Jo Boston She was also preceded in death by her siblings: Cora Kohlhoss, Charles Heflin II, James Heflin, Walter Heflin, John Heflin, William Heflin, Helen Magaha.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Union Cemetery in Leesburg, VA.
