Mark W. Lutke, 63, of West End, passed away at his home on Monday, May 7th.
Visitation will be held at the Boles Funeral Home, 425 W. Pennsylvania Ave., Friday, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Church, corner of E. Vermont and N. Ashe Sts. on Saturday, at 1:00 P.M.
Mark was born and raised in Ridgewood, N.J. and was a graduate of Ridgewood High School, class of 1972. As a young man, his love of music and skiing drove him to move to Crested Butte, CO. Mark would move back to N.J. in the late 1970s to work in the family business, “Lifetime Dormer Builders”. In 1994, he moved to Moore County to start his own business “Topflight Stairs” as a Master Carpenter. His love of Golf was a significant deciding factor for their move to Pinehurst. Mark was a fighter, having fought and beaten kidney cancer.
Mark is survived by his son, Sean W. Lutke of Whispering Pines and daughter, Noelle M. Lutke of Wilmington. He was the grandfather of Madison F. Lutke. He will be missed by Barbara Lutke. He was the brother of Gary Lutke, Steve Lutke, Janice Lutke, Joan Hillman, Kevin Lutke and the late Buddy Lutke. He was the uncle of Jennifer, Robyn, Liz, Brant, Tim, Jessica, Danielle, Gabrielle and the late Jonathan Lutke. Mark is predeceased by his parents Harry and Virginia (Dinning) Lutke.
