Myrtie Frances Wright, 98, of Pinehurst passed on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at her residence.
A visitation will be held from 10am to 11:30am on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at the Boles Funeral Home in Southern Pines with a service to follow at 11:30 officiated by Chaplain Sara Pitt Smith. Burial will follow in Pinelawn Memorial Park in Southern Pines.
Mrs. Wright was born August 25, 1920 in Nashville, TN; to the late Louis Foster and Susan (Thompson) Foster. In 2010 she moved from Smyrna, TN to Pinehurst to be closer to her sons and their wives. The true love of her life was family. She looked forward to holidays because this offered her the opportunity to see all her family together. After moving to Pinehurst Myrtie never played the game of golf but she enjoyed watching it frequently on TV. She also enjoyed gospel and country music. Her favorite country artist was Marty Robbins. She traveled at every opportunity and especially loved to travel with her family.
She is survived by two sons, Lonnie R. Wright and wife Carole and Steven L. Wright and wife Sue; two grandsons, Steven B. Wright and wife Lisa and Bryan R. Wright and wife Katie; five great-grandchildren, Lee Wright, Gavin Wright, Lindsey Wright, Isaac Wright, Julia Wright; one great-great- grand son, Sterling Wright.
She was preceded in death by her two brothers Harry and Louis Foster; three sisters, Betty Kilgore, Sarah McClendon, and Lee Ellis; two grandsons, Jeffrey Wright and Robert Wright.
