Patricia Caron, 66, of Seven Lakes died Saturday, May 19, 2018 at her home after a long battle with metastatic breast cancer. She was surrounded by family. A memorial reception will be held at her home on June 2nd from 4pm to 9pm. All friends are welcome.

Patricia was born in Oregon, grew up in Vermont, raised children in Virginia, and finally settled in North Carolina with the goal of taking care of her mother. She trained as a teacher, became a full-time mother, and then worked as a manager at Paul’s Arts and Crafts for about 20 years. She knew the answer to any arts and crafts question you could ask.

Beyond arts and crafts, her interests included an eclectic taste in music, loving and caring for animals, gaining strength through bible study, being an active citizen, reading, birding and all things nature. She was also known to love anime, Law and Order, NCIS, John Wayne, and, of course, laughter. May that be the sound most people remember from her.

She is survived by her younger brother Kenneth F. Campbell and his wife Gloria; her younger sister Lynda Ann Green and her husband Chris; her three children Brett, Derek, and Verity and their families: Brett’s wife Rachel, mother of Tyler and Inara. Chelse, mother of Sydney and Matthew with Derek, and Verity’s significant other Matt. She has an extended fur-family as well, with Max and Cleo as her own, and visits with Mo, Ellie, Tsali, and Juno.

Thanks to the caretakers of Aging Outreach Services and Hospice for making her final days as comfortable and filled with love as possible. Also, thanks to Boles Funeral Home and Duke Body Donation for taking care of Patricia’s earthly remains.

She has asked that in lieu of flowers, friends donate to their local animal shelters. Kind wishes, notes, and thoughts are welcome at Box 3211 Seven Lakes W., West End, NC 27376.
