Pauline Dorothea Ballard, 97, of Pinehurst, NC passed away on September 28, 2018.
Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at 2:00 p.m.at Culdee Presbyterian Church in West End, NC with Reverend Darrell Williams officiating.
She was born on July 27, 1921 in Clinton, Massachusetts to George Alexander and Edna Florence Huckel Watson. Her life was marked by her Christian faith. She was a choir member and Sunday School teacher at Community Presbyterian Church. Later in life, she became a member of Culdee Presbyterian Church. Loving genealogy, she was a charter member and officer in the Moore County Genealogical Society. She served the local community as a Brownie Scout troop leader. She was an expert seamstress, loved to play bridge and watch old movies.
She was preceded in death by her husband, R.M. Ballard, Jr., daughter, Marianne Ballard Schad, sister, Elizabeth Claxton, and brother, George A. Watson.
She is survived by her daughter Becky Deaton and husband Ray; son, James Roger Ballard and wife Shirley; grandchildren, David Deaton, Warner Deaton, Kim Brown and husband Lynn; and a great-grandchild, Becca Deaton.
