Robert Alfred Pearson, 75, of Seven Lakes North, passed away at the FirstHealth Hospice House on Tuesday September 25th.

Born in Durham on October 2nd, 1942, he was the son of the late Albert and Florence Varley Pearson. Robert was raised in Charlotte and was a graduate of Myer’s Park High School, class of 1960. He went on to earn his Bachelors’ Degree from East Carolina University. It was at ECU that he met, and later married, Sandra Gayle Andrews of Greenville. Robert earned his Masters’ Degree and obtained his Principal’s certificate for his career in education; a career that spanned 4 decades. It was the mid 1970’s when he moved to Moore County and became the Director of Vocational Education, before his retirement in the early 2000s. Robert enjoyed camping, in both Myrtle Beach and the Mountains, but the highlight of his retirement was spent helping his son Robert, Jr. at his shop in Carthage.

Robert is survived by his wife Sandra Andrews Pearson, with whom he shared over 50 years of marriage. He was the father of Robert Pearson, Jr. and his wife Nina & Mary Geshel and Fiance’ Bill Johnson. He was the brother of Florence Edwards of Fayetteville and Albert Pearson of TX. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Cameron, Ava and Jack.
