Robert E. “Bob” Newcomer, 88 of Vass, passed away on November 14, 2018 at his home.
Born on October 20, 1930 in Elkhart, Indiana to the late Clyde and Dorothy Newcomer. He was owner and operator of Bob’s Pizza in Vass for over 40 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Wayne Newcomer and one sister, Phyllis Miller.
He is survived by his wife, Bertha Newcomer; two sons, Robert C. Newcomer and Steven Newcomer; daughter, Rebecca Wise; step-sons, James Herbert Caddell, and George Wayne Caddell; one sister, Delores Schrock; also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 18, 2018 6:00-8:00 PM at Boles Funeral Home in Southern Pines. A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 19, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Beulah Hill Baptist Church with burial following at Johnson Grove Cemetery.
