Sherrill L. Lee, 76, passed away in the early morning of June 16th, 2018 at First Health Moore Regional Hospital.   

Sherrill was born on February 7th, 1942 in Florence County, South Carolina to the late Nolan Wallace Lee and Leona Miles Lee.  He was a graduate of Lake City High School.  He began working for Winn Dixie at the age of sixteen, working his way up to store manager.  In 1972 he opened Sandhills Cycle Center, from which he retired after 45 years.  He was an active member and current deacon of Aberdeen First Baptist Church, where he faithfully served in many other capacities.  He was former member of the Aberdeen Lions Club.  He was an avid gardener and loved wood-working.  Most of all, Sherrill was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many.  

Sherrill is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sandra L. Lee; daughters Renee Youngerman (Matt) of Aberdeen and Christy Pusser (Patrick) of Pinehurst, grandchildren Riley and Nicholas Youngerman; and Carson, Lucas and Sophia Pusser.  Sherrill is survived by siblings Jeanette Timmons, of Scranton, SC; Naomi Keefe of Coward, SC; Jerome Lee and Michael Lee, both of Scranton, South Carolina.  

A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 PM Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Aberdeen First Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Branscome, Dr. Robert Steele and Rev. Charles Hinson officiating.  The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Boles Funeral Home in Southern Pines.
