Susan Verena Woolley Taylor, age 75, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 12, 2018, at St. Joseph’s of the Pines, Southern Pines, NC. Born March 9, 1943, she was the only daughter of the late naval officer Wilfred “John” Woolley and his wife Thelma Killian Woolley.

In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by her loving son, Trent Lynwood Taylor. 

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Jennifer Taylor Zurowsky and husband Dr. Philip Zurowsky of Fayettevillle, her grand-daughters Chelsi Taylor Graham, Madeline Zurowsky, and Kylee Taylor, and her great-grandson William “Knox” Graham. 

Susan was a loving and devoted mother, educator, historian, daughter of Christ and friend. Susan was proud to be college educated at Cerrito’s College (CA) and ensured her family was too. She had a spirited life and brought happiness to many around her in her community, church, and family. She was a lover of music, animals, and sharing stories of her beloved family. She will be missed.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 16, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Boles Funeral Home in Southern Pines with Deacon Thomas Porter officiating. Burial will follow the service at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Southern Pines.
