Thomas Raymond Jackson, 82, passed away on April 21, 2018. Born on September 21, 1935 in Bonner Springs, Kansas, he was the son of Hervey and Winifred Jackson. The family soon moved to Cleveland, Ohio where T. Ray was raised. In 1957, T. Ray married Joanne Hackley. They had two children, Brian and Lynn. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Winnie Wagner. 

T. Ray was a graduate of Baldwin-Wallace College and Kent State University. He taught biology and horticulture and then moved into school administration. In addition, T. Ray served as a high school athletic trainer, was an instructor for community CPR classes, and volunteered in the local hospital emergency room. His passion for volunteering and helping in the community continued when T. Ray and Joanne moved to Seven Lakes. He was active in the Seven Lakes Fire Department and then Seven Lakes EMS. He continued his teaching at Sandhills Community College where he focused on EMT classes. In addition, T. Ray served as the choir director for 15 years at West End United Methodist Church.

T. Ray is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joanne, his son Brian (Fairview Park, Ohio) and his daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Jack Floyd (Fuquay Varina, NC). In addition, T. Ray is also survived by two grandchildren, Melissa and Grayson Floyd.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 28 at West End United Methodist Church. Reception will follow in the fellowship hall.
