Nancy Ann Penington Strickfaden lost her battle with a rare Mantle Cell Lymphoma on Thursday, February 8, 2018.

Nancy was born August 11, 1943 in Springfield, TN to parents Claude & Drella Pennington.  Both have preceded her in death along with half-brother, Gene Pennington.  She has a surviving brother, Charles Pennington of Lexington, KY (wife Glenna) and one sister, Dorothy Graham of California, MO.  The family moved from Tennessee to California, MO in 1959 where Nancy completed her education.  On January 26, 1963 she married the love of her life, Gary Strickfaden., also of California, MO.  They have three daughters; Pamela Olander (husband Morgan), Leslie Oliver (husband Mike) and Laura Billings (husband Steve).  She was blessed with nine grandchildren; Ryan, Carter & Emma Olander of KS; Ashley & Kelsey Oliver of TN: Madisson, Taylor, Aubrey & Garrett of VA.

Family was Nancy’s primary interest. She left knowing how much she was loved and confident her family will continue to feel her love for them.  She also had a strong interest in arts and crafts, especially painting.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a charity of your choice.  American Cancer Society and American Heart Association were two of her favorites.

Service will be held at the Village Chapel on Wednesday, February 14th, 2018 at 2 PM. A reception celebrating her life will follow.
