Treva Hunt Smith, age 74 of Carthage died Saturday, December 9, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday at Fry & Prickett Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Southern Pines. The family will receive friends at Fry & Prickett Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM and other times at the home.
A native of Randolph County, she was the daughter of the late Charles Clyde and Odessa Ashburn Hunt. She retired from Proctor Silex where she worked as an assembler.
She was preceded in death by her husband Paul S. Smith; son Carl Smith and wife Joyce; sister Elizabeth Faulkner, granddaughter Cristy Vick.
She is survived by daughters Janet Louie and husband Lenny of Carthage, Susan McRae of Carthage; sister Mae McLeod and husband Hubert of Star; brother David “Red” Hunt and wife Bernice; 9 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
