Early October will see the Falling Walls Revival take place at the Moore County Fair Grounds in Carthage.

It is a gathering of churches from many different denominations and backgrounds with one goal, to unite the community and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The event is being put on by Awaken Ministries of NC and is spearheaded by Tommy Scarboro.

The event will feature dinner before the service each night. Dinner will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. with the service starting immediately afterward.

Local pastors and worship teams will take the lead in the services, and nationally known singer Jason Crabb will be performing one night. The services start Sunday, October 6 with Bike Night, encouraging motorcycle riders to ride their bikes.

Returning from a mission trip to Kenya a couple of years ago, Tommy was struck by how separated the body of Christ is in America. One of the goals of the revival is to spark unity.

“We want to see Moore County and the surrounding counties to grow in unity,” said Tommy.

Tommy was appointed to serve as Awaken Ministries Evangelist in 2018. He serves at his home church as an Elder of CrossWay Church of Worship in Aberdeen since 2006. He was ordained by CrossWay Ministries in March 2019. He has been happily married for 18 years to his wife, Christy. They have two children; Gracie and Jonathan.

The event runs through October 11. You can find more information on Awaken Ministries website.
