The O’Neal School announced Monday Jason Jones as their new varsity boys’ and girls’ soccer coach.

Jones comes to O’Neal after years of coaching soccer in the Sandhills area including the last three successful years as the Pinecrest High School junior varsity head coach.  He will now bring his leadership and passion for mentoring young men and women to be better versions of themselves to the Falcons program.

“I look forward to the opportunity to work with the O’Neal administrators and athletics department staff to build a culture of excellence where we educate our student-athletes to compete for championships regularly, establish self-discipline, build their confidence, develop teamwork, and continue creating respectful citizens,” Jones said in a statement.

Athletic Director James Franklin commented, “We are thrilled that Jason is joining us to lead our teams at O’Neal. He has the perfect emotional intelligence and Soccer IQ to make our soccer teams stand out as the best in the area. Jason is a top coach and will help our student-athletes reach their potential on and off the field.”

Jones is also the co-founder of 365 Soccer Academy here in the Sandhills providing quality soccer instruction to children of all ages and ability levels. Since its inception in May 2018, the Academy has grown exponentially with expanded offerings and sessions.
