As the regular season play for winter sports comes to a close, O’Neal School held senior recognition ceremonies January 24 and 25.

Senior Falcon swimmers were recognized at the last home meet on Thursday before competing in a conference match up against American Hebrew Academy and Trinity Academy of Raleigh. Seniors Hannah Burns, Sierra Huffman and Lauren Millard were honored.

Senior Ralayah McRae was recognized by her coach and teammates for varsity girls basketball.

Before and in between games against Trinity Academy of Raleigh on Friday, January 25,  varsity girls basketball honored the only senior, Ralayah McRae. The cheer team recognized seniors Andrew Phan and Turbo Meng. Varsity boys basketball recognized Andy Jenkins, Nolan Meese, Bennett Moore and Avi Patel.

The commitment and leadership by Falcon senior student athletes were celebrated by their coaches and peers at each of the ceremonies. A metal portrait of the athletes playing their sport were special gifts on behalf of O’Neal’s athletic membership organization, the Falcon Club.

Seniors Nolan Meese, Bennett Moore, Andy Jenkins, Avi Patel are recognized by their coach and colleagues for varsity boys basketball.

Feature photo: Seniors Hannah Burns, Lauren Millard and Sierra Huffman are recognized at a special ceremony prior to their last home meet. Assistant Coach Chuck Andres gave each of them a “Millennial Falcon” float in commemoration of their time as “Falcons”.
