A pedestrian was killed when he was hit by an Amtrak train late Friday evening. The victim was struck around 11:00 p.m. on the train tracks near Midway Road in Aberdeen.
Officials pronounced Herbert Bullard, 51, of Pinebluff dead on the scene, and it is believed not to be intentional.
It took Aberdeen Police hours to investigate the scene. Amtrak is doing an internal review as well.
Assisting the police department at the scene was the Aberdeen Fire Department.
