Pinecrest Principal, Bob Christina, announced Wednesday afternoon he is retiring.

In an email to parents, Christina stated he is “resigning his position to pursue retirement effective July 20th”.

The collaborated search between the school district and School Improvement Team for his replacement will start immediately according to Christina.

Christina replaced Dr. Thomas Ferrell as the principal for the 2015-16 school year.  Prior to coming to Pinecrest, Christina was High Point Central High School’s principal.

Christina added he is looking forward to officiating the upcoming graduation with his final few weeks as a Patriot.

“I have been honored to work with all of the students, parents, and staff at Pinecrest and consider each and every one of you family and a true Patriot,” said Christina.  “Thank you for my time at Pinecrest High School and for your continued support of our staff and students.”
