Pinecrest High School will hold its 2018-2019 Registration and Check-in on Wednesday August 15 and Thursday August 16, according to a spokesperson for the Pinecrest PTSA.

Registration and Check-in this year will include paying school fees, picking up Chromebooks, and receiving class schedules and school ID’s.  Registration will take place in the Old Gymnasium.

Parents and students should come prepared to pay Chromebook fees and other school fees during registration.

Incoming Seniors will register Wednesday August 15 from 8:30-11:30 a.m. Juniors will register Wednesday August 15 from 1:00-3:30 p.m.  Sophomores will register Thursday August 16 from 8:30-11:30 a.m., and Freshmen will register Thursday August 16 from 1:00-3:30 p.m.

During Registration and Check-in, counselors will be available, schedules will be passed out, school fees will be paid, Chromebooks will be distributed, bus schedules will be provided and PTSA memberships will be available.

At this same time, Juniors and Seniors will be able to register and pay for parking, once all of their school fees have been paid for.

Clubs and sports teams will have information booths set up in the school Courtyard for students to learn about the various extracurricular activities available to Pinecrest students. Rita’s Italian Ice and Duck Donuts will also be set up in the courtyard during registration.

In addition, Freshman will be able to take tours of the campus led by upperclassman during the Freshman registration time period.

“We have organized these events to ensure our students are registered and have the opportunity to Check-in with our computer staff, parking staff, clubs, sports teams, PTSA and other key groups,” explained Beth Von Canon, Pinecrest PTSA President.

The week after Registration, on Wednesday August 22 from 6:00 pm-7:00 pm, Freshman will be able to participate in a full Orientation Evening that will provide information for parents, opportunities to meet teachers, and additional opportunities to take tours and learn about clubs and sports. The parent information session of the Orientation Evening will begin at 6:00 pm in the Pinecrest Auditorium.

Following the Freshman Orientation, Seniors, Juniors and Sophomores can walk their schedule and meet their teachers on Thursday August 23 from 6:00-7:30 pm.
