The Village of Pinehurst is developing plans to build a 19,555 square foot Community Center to be located in Cannon Park near the corner of Rattlesnake Trail and Hwy 211.

This facility will house programs for all age groups and will include a full-size gymnasium with court lines for basketball, volleyball and pickleball, a multi-purpose room, various classrooms for programs and activities, offices for Parks & Recreation staff, restrooms, storage, and a small concession/catering kitchen.

Oakley Collier, architects for the Community Center project, will facilitate a public input meeting on Thursday, March 22, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. in the Assembly Hall of Village Hall, 395 Magnolia Road.

Residents are encouraged to drop in anytime during those three hours to provide their feedback. There will be three stations set up with updated building layouts, site plans, and elevations. In addition, there will be lists of existing programs that will take place in each room and new programs that will be added/expanded.

The architects will also discuss the Community Center’s outdoor amenities, such as the patio and its ability to tie in to the walking trail adjacent to the building. Participants, including children, will have an opportunity to provide ideas for new programs and activities they would like to see in the new Community Center.
