A man and woman were arrested after a car chase in Robbins Saturday.

When deputies approached a suspicious vehicle parked at a home on Plank Road, the car sped away.  After a brief chase ended, ‘further investigation revealed that both individuals had broken into a residence and were stealing property when the deputy located them,” said Sheriff Ronnie Fields in a Friday news release.

Kimberley Christine Colwell, 54, of Carthage, and David Brandon Garner, 37, of Robbins were arrested.

Colwell was charged with one count of felony breaking and entering, one count of felony larceny, one count of felony possession of stolen goods, one count of felony flee to elude arrest in a motor vehicle, and one count of reckless driving to endanger. She was confined to the Moore County Detention Center under an $80,000 secured bond pending a first  appearance in Moore County District Court on January 31.

Garner was charged with one count of felony breaking and entering, one count of felony larceny, and one count of felony Possession of stolen goods. Garner was jailed under a $75,000 secured bond and has a January 23 court date.

All defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
