Law officials are investigating a bomb threat that was called in Wednesday morning at the Carthage Court House.

Law enforcement evacuated the building when an unknown caller made the threat around 9:30 am.

“Sheriff’s Deputies and Carthage Police evacuated the area and are re-routed traffic,” stated Moore County Sheriff’s Office.

At approximately 12 pm, Moore County Sheriff’s Department gave an “all clear” when nothing was found in the building, and the staff and public have been allowed to go back inside.

Trained K9’s from Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office and K2 Solutions were called in to clear the facility. The Moore County Sheriff’s Department also deployed its drone during the investigation.

Officials have not released any other information pertaining to the threat.
