Surrounded by family, friends, and supporters, Ronnie Fields filed today for election to the office of Sheriff of Moore County.

Fields has spent his entire adult life in public service caring for the citizens of Moore County and the State of North Carolina. His many years of commitment began with the Carthage Rescue Squad and advanced into what would become a 30+ year career in law enforcement.

For the next 22 years, Trooper Fields served our state with dignity, honor, and integrity enjoying positions in both enforcement as well as Executive Protection.

In 2009, Fields returned to his roots and came back to the Moore County Sheriff’s Department at the request of Retired Sheriff Lane Carter. Upon his return to the Sheriff’s Department, Sheriff Carter entrusted Fields with the command of the Special Operations Division.
