The Sandhills Woman’s Exchange will be hosting local author, Jodi Barth, for their monthly luncheon/lecture at the cabin on February 22nd.

Jodie will discuss her biography about being the first Crime Scene female Investigator in the state of Indiana.

Seats are limited, so please call (295-4677) to reserve your spot and/or stop by the Exchange at 15 Azalea Rd. to book your spot. Following the 10:30 a.m. lecture, a three-course lunch by Chef Katrina with dessert will be served. All proceeds from the $25 pp ticket will go to the upkeep of the 1810 historical cabin.

The Board members for the SWE non-profit include Co-presidents Cav Peterson and Marie Carbrey, Kathleen Causey, Alice Robbins, Barb Summers, Linda Cockman, Char Rohr, Kim Tills, Judie Wiggins, Beverly Raffaele, Dee Anderson and Pat Welch. Advisors to the board include Ron Rhody, Joyce Reehling, Leslie Habets, Amanda Jakl, Audrey Moriarty, Carole Southon, John Strickland and Laurie Bogart Wiles. General Manager is Karen Lehto.

The Sandhills Woman’s Exchange is open Tuesdays through Saturdays for the Spring season from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lunch is served from 11:00 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The cabin is staffed by volunteer waitresses and volunteer cashiers for the artisan gift shop. Volunteers are especially needed to help serve as a waitress during this new season for a 2 ½ hour time slot.
