Sheriff warns of scam targeting residents

UPDATE: As of 1:50 Friday afternoon, the missing teen was located and is safe.

The Moore County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a missing teenager.

The white, male, 14-year-old juvenile left his home in the Beacon Ridge Community Thursday evening around 9 p.m.

“The juvenile suffers from a medical condition and left the residence wearing red short-sleeve shirt, possibly with a Nike symbol, black running pants, and possibly a grey Under Armour sweatshirt,” said Sheriff Ronnie Fields in a news release.

The teenager left his home with a black book bag, is 5’11, weighs 200 pounds, has blue eyes and brown hair.

Sheriff Fields is urging residents to be on the look out for the missing teen and call Moore County Sheriff’s Office if you see him.
