Moore County Sheriff’s Office released their June report Tuesday afternoon.

During the month of June,  patrol deputies averaged nine minutes and thirty six seconds while responding to 3,260 calls for service. They served 273 civil and 155 criminal papers which included; 16 domestic violence orders, 83 arrests, conducted 1,194 business checks and transported five mental patients.

Deputies issued 67 traffic citations: four citations for driving with a revoked license, one for DWI and 28 for speeding in excess of 15 miles per hour over the posted speed limit. Volunteers contributed 24 hours during the month of June.

Animal Services admitted 142 dogs and 133 cats, returned 11 animals to their owners, facilitated the adoption of 72 dogs and 85 cats and conducted 90 field and 112 shelter rabies vaccinations. Deputies investigated 10 animal bite reports, & responded to 156 stray-animal calls.

Criminal Investigators arrested 23 suspects totaling 32 felony and two misdemeanor charges, opened 76 investigations and recovered $28,435.01 in stolen property. Arrests included: two for Assault by Strangulation, nine for Breaking and Entering/Larceny, three for Felony Child Abuse, three for Firearm Violations, four for Fraud and two on misdemeanor charges.

The Narcotics Division opened 25 investigations, executed three Search Warrants, four Probation Searches and arrested 17 suspects on a total of 64 Drug and Alcohol violations. Narcotic Deputies seized: 170 grams of Marijuana, 98 dosage units of prescription pills, two grams of Cocaine, 18 grams of Crack-Cocaine, one Firearm and $592.00 in US Currency; the estimated street value of all drugs seized was approximately $2,480.00.

Additionally, Deputies conducted 80 ABC store security checks, inspected six ABC premise-outlets and visited 86 additional ABC premise-outlets.

The Sheriff’s Office registered four new Sex Offenders, updated the status of 26 Registered Sex Offenders, transferred four out of county and is monitoring a total of 128 Moore County Registered Sex Offenders.

In June, the department issued 192 pistol purchase permits, 47 new conceal-to-carry permits and renewed 95; totaling 7,933 Moore County citizens with conceal-to-carry permits.
