Authorities were dispatched to an accident Tuesday afternoon in Cameron.
The accident occurred on U.S. Highway 1 near the 24/27 exit when a young woman lost control of her Honda. The car went off the road and ended up tangled in the median guard wires.
Moore County EMS, North Carolina State Highway Patrol, and Cypress Pointe Fire and Rescue responded to the scene to help the accident victim. Authorites reported that the driver had broken glass from the windsheild in her hair and clothes; however, she was not injured.
