Moore County Sheriff’s Department arrested a man for larceny Monday.  Corey Stephen Ross, 48, of Southern Pines, was arrested in connection to a larceny investigation out of Vass.

The sheriff’s office said they received a call from a business on U.S. Highway 1 of a trailer being stolen during the evening on September 15.

With the assistance from the Southern Pines Police Department, the property was recovered Monday.  The investigation led authorities to charge Ross with with breaking and entering,  two counts of felony larceny, and two counts of felony possession of stolen goods.

Ross was jailed under a $30,000 bond and has an October 23 court date. 

All defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
